Con los Beach boys y su absoluta pasión por lo californiano hemos topado, y eso que en este “Surfin’ safari” no sólo se refieren a las playas de Los Ángeles sino que también nombran otros lugares donde irse a surfear con las amigas como por ejemplo Hawai o Perú.
Como curiosidad decir que este fue el segundo single en la carrera de los Beach Boys y “Surfin’ Safari”, a pesar de que hoy en día la recordamos como uno de sus más famosos éxitos estuvo a punto de ser la cara B del single original. La cara A iba a ser para “409″, un tema sobre el modelo de coche de la marca Chevrolet. El vídeo de la canción está acompañado por imágenes de la época y carteles de la película “American Graffitti” de George Lucas, un auténtico clásico del cine juvenil en el que aparece esta canción. Año 1962, rock and roll, surf, playas de todo el mundo, chicas, chicos y los Beach Boys.
