Antes del groove metal, antes de los cambios de tempo radicales y las estructuras impactantes, Pantera oficiaba sesiones de un power metal que no necesariamente tenía concomitancias con el europeo. El suyo salió de un álbum titulado así, Power Metal, y bebía del speed metal de los germanos Accept o del metal cortante de Judas Priest. Posteriormente grabarían su trilogía dorada, pero aquí tenemos una muestra de su pasado. Un conjunto nacido para revolucionar el metal extremo mundial, un cuarteto sin duda inolvidable por su carisma y fiereza.
