En 1978 los cuatro miembros originales del conjunto norteamericano Kiss, todavía como componentes en activo de la banda, editaron cada uno un LP solista. Paul Stanley se acercó al adult oriented rock y Gene Simmons a una mezcolanza extravagante que tenía tanto rock como pop o tonadillas de la industria Disney en su mejunje. Peter Criss y Ace Frehley, por su parte, se dieron a lo suyo, estilos que ya habían sido marca reconocida en sus grabaciones junto a Kiss como cuarteto.
El Catman se dejó llevar por esa mezcla de rock and roll clásico con tintes de west coast y soft rock que tanto le agradaban, todo ello condimentado con baladas gatunas que podría haber firmado cualquier miembro de The Osmonds.
