Aunque interpretada por la britaniquísima Petula Clark, esta canción siempre ha estado vinculada en el imaginario colectivo a las brillantes luces de Nueva York, que acabaría empleándola para publicitar alguna de sus zonas más emblemáticas, en concreto de Manhattan. Una brillante y optimista composición que tal vez hoy en día no sería muy bien vista, puesto que su poco políticamente correcto mensaje incita a abandonar los problemas acudiendo al bullicio de la zona más populosa de la iudad, donde “las luces son siempre más brillantes, hay lugares que nunca cierran y puedes bailar hasta que amanezca”. Todo un himno.
